The Dow closed at 27,492.56 yesterday and is continuing to set new all time highs. Charts like the Dow make me nervous (uncharted territory) and if you look at the end of 2018 we had the big dip to 21,712.52 (a drop of about 4,000 points in Dec. 2018).

Editorial Comments:
Auryn Resources ( AUG TSX-Venture ) [ Auryn Web Site ] [ I own some of it, I do not work for them. ] Well Auryn has had quite the ride since our last newsletter. It was at $1.70 on October 17th and then it dipped to a low of $1.46 on October 21st and 22nd. Cheap stock to be had! Then on October 25th they released their Committee Bay drill results and then on the 28th they announced amazing surface results from their Curibaya property in Peru. The results are over a large area and some of the grades are spectacular. Of course they are only surface samples but it is encouraging! The stock rebounded to a high of $2.10 and closed yesterday at $1.86. A bit of a YoYo for sure!
What is getting my attention though is the trading volume. The stock has been trading more volume than normal this past week. Since October 21st, Auryn has traded 3.9 million shares at an average price of $1.855. Over the last month traders through CIBC have bought a net position of 746,465 shares, $1.3M worth of stock. Can the volume continue? There are more Curibaya results pending, news could come any day.
